CHARLOTTE,NC Protesters have been going out to take the streets day and night throughout the DNC, with little to no problems with police.
The only semi-violent interactions with the police were one bystander resisting arrest and when on an Anti-capitalist march Black Bloc using a five foot by ten foot black canvas flag as a shield to push through a police line and the police out of fear grabbed the flag, attempting to pull it out of the marcher’s hands.
Philadelphia PA, Friday April 6th, 2012 at 12pm Occupy Philadelphia met at Rittenhouse Square for the beginning of what is to be a 48 hour Occupation of Independence Mall located between 5th street and 4th on Market.
They began the weekend long event with a series of Spring Training teach-ins and sign making though many of the signs that would be carried in the subsequent march to the Mall were made over the course of the previous two nights in the basement of the Ethical Society and at an Occupiers home.
